It's not all about me,
but this page is…
I’ve never been one to boast about myself, but you wanted to know more about me right?
My name is Matthew Birtch and I’m one of those strange people who is in touch with both sides of their brain. I’m a designer and a coder and love the mix of both worlds – blending art & science, creativity & functionality on a daily basis. Really, envisioning the full user experience is what gets me excited.
I’m currently employed at an agency called Quarry as a UX/UI designer creating rich interactive experiences for a wide range of high-profile brands. With over 13 years under my belt in the design industry, my expertise covers a broad spectrum – from art direction to user experience design to branding.
Prior to working at Quarry, I worked at Mosaic in Toronto, where I lead a team of designers and front-end developers on digital projects. Having also worked as a freelancer for a number of years, I have an entrepreneurial spirit seeking to understand all aspects of the business and develop processes and best practices to better serve clients more efficiently and effectively.
Along with my industry experience I have a university degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo and a post graduate diploma in Web Design from Sheridan College which has given me the versatility and flexibility to work in any design media.
If you want to chat, feel free to contact me via email or any of my social media accounts.
